And she'd say, "Proud Irish!"

spectra energy built a major natural gas pipeline expansion to New York City that runs through the heart of Jersey City. Jersey City & NYC will bear tremendous risks with no reward, all for the benefit of spectra energy shareholders!
Natural gas pipelines are prone to high risk of leaks that are released as either fine mists of toxic spray or result in fires and explosions that may do significant damage to property and life.

spectra's proposed pipeline, would run up 10th Avenue from next to the New Whitney Museum up to 15th Street.

On June 08 2012, a state commission approved spectra energy’s proposal to run a section of the Houston energy giant’s controversial natural gas pipeline below ground in Liberty State Park in Jersey City. Gas pipeline to be put under Liberty State Park in Jersey City NJ. spectra energy wins state approval Friday June 08 2012 by Terrence T. McDonald/The Jersey Journal
The Texas Eastern natural gas pipeline from Linden to New York City, including a 15.5-mile stretch of 30-inch pipe that would travel the length of Bayonne and Jersey City before turning east near the Hoboken border and heading under the Hudson River, to Manhattan's West Village.
Three important reasons to deny spectra's proposal:
1 The obvious reason, that the entire areas are way too densely populated.
2 New Jersey/New York Harbor; (where spectra wants to cross), is totally filled with Federally protected Historical Sites. Many of which, are very close to a National Monument, Our Statue Of Liberty!
3 The construction of spectra's gas pipeline would destroy the shoreline and natural environment; habitat, of New Jersey/New York Harbor's fish, marine life, birds and other animal populations for many generations, if not forever!
The entire New Jersey/New York Harbor from Liberty State Park's shore, across to Manhattan's West Village, (besides being filled with historical sites)is a fish estuary. Common species include bluefish, shad, striped bass and blue claw crabs.
NJ/NY harbor is Part of an Department of Environmental Protection's Program that consists of, an enormous watershed encompassing a much larger area.
In 2011, HEP updated its geographic footprint to include the Hudson River watershed up to the Troy Dam, as well as the watersheds of the Raritan, Passaic, Hackensack Rivers in New Jersey. This watershed approach is much more in keeping with the way other major estuaries are managed.
Also; the Richard J. Sullivan Natural Area of the Park; including Communipaw Cove, (36 acres), is a Nature Preserve and consists mainly of salt marsh, one of the few remaining tidal marshes of the Hudson River Estuary.
Please continue to read this post, for many more reasons why spectra's proposal was never a well thought out plan.
This is not an ordinary distribution, gas pipeline; the kind used in order to bring natural gas to homes, businesses and industries. This is; a long-haul, transportation pipeline!
As a transportation type pipeline; this means that, it will always have gas going through it, constantly, not, use a little pump a little more in like with domestic pipelines.
And the state, wants to allow spectra to run this pipeline through the streets of Jersey City!
Has everyone, gone totally crazy? Proposed extension of gas line through densely populated northeastern NJ, has criticsStar-Ledger February 27, 2011
spectra corporation is trying to claimeminent domain in order to seize the land, where they want to build their pipeline in Jersey City.
When in effect; they won't be able to build their gas pipeline along this route using eminent domain as a ploy, because; in reality, the main part of the pipeline would be tearing through areas like, the Morris Canal, which is a Federally protected Historical Site,

spectra cannot build their pipeline through Jersey City's neighborhoods.
An alternative route that spectra can use; is, when the Bayonne part of their pipeline reaches the City Line on Kennedy Blvd, it then needs to go around the back of Jersey City's Route 440, along its west side waterway Newark Bay.
Then, go north about 5 miles along the shore, following the water line in Newark Bay. And Then cross over from there or from Hoboken, to New York City. I would need maps to say where. I'm not an engineer. They get the big bucks to figure this kind of stuff out. Although; crossing over from this part of Jersey City or even as far as Hoboken, would still bring the pipeline to lower Manhattan, (Canal Street) and create the same environmental damage concerns.
Hoboken objects to spectra's proposed gas pipeline too. One can understand how they would not like it destroying their pristine NJ/NY Harbor!Hoboken, New Jersey

No one in Jersey City and Lower Manhattan wants the stupid pipeline.
I don't want it either. Especially in Lower New York/New Jersey Harbor or going through any of our towns and cities. I just put the pieces together here, to help my friends out. They always helped me a lot in my life!
These are, very populated areas and coincidentally, the proposed pipeline runs through many of the poorer sections of Jersey City.
Could this plan be any more stupid? Either the planning engineer is crazy or spectra's swindling New Jersey big time! Even I can figure this out.
I just sent this post to NJ Gov. Chris Christie and told him this too.

Bayonne has broken groundfor spectra energy's natural gas pipeline. Friday July 27, 2012 by Rafal Rogoza/The Jersey Journal [Update June 25 2012] Gas Main Ruptured! Pressure on ruptured gas main on Jersey City-Bayonne border is reduced, but repairs are ongoing. by Ron Zeitlinger/The Jersey Journal
This is the area, where spectra wants to cut across the east side of the Bayonne/Jersey City Border to go to New York City. That's why their gas pipeline goes under Liberty State Park. PreservationAlso, I'm sure I read in one of these links under the Statue of Liberty, but can't find it now). The problem is; that the eastern border of Bayonne And Jersey City is a peninsula and used to be a canal 100 years ago.
Not very stable earth.Jersey City, New Jersey (See map). Hudson County under severe thunderstorm watch Saturday July 28, 2012 by Travis Fedschun/The Jersey Journal Areas like Hoboken and parts of Jersey City are urged to take special precautions because they are prone to flooding.
The Morris Canal stretched from Phillipsburg on the Delaware River at its western end to Jersey City on the Hudson River at its eastern end. Building even more gas pipeline in this area is an ecological disaster, just waiting to happen.
One good explosion like in Nyack; (Heaven Forbid) and the whole area could break up and sink! [Update June 22 2012 Jersey City mayor says natural-gas explosion in Nyack is 'perfect exampleof dangers of spectra pipeline by Terrence T. McDonald/The Jersey Journal
Not kidding. Peninsulas are fragile. Especially an area where a canal has been filled in. paenīnsula"paene-": almost + "īnsula": island; also called a byland or biland) is a piece of land that is bordered by water on three sides but connected to mainland.
spectra energy is seeking to rip the residents of New Jersey off, with a 20-year lease on a nearly an acre of parkland that will house the pipe.
The company, which received final federal approval for the pipeline on May 21, plans to pay the state about $2.3 million over the course of the lease. by Terrence T. McDonald/The Jersey Journal
Somebody's gotta be kidding! The More I Find Out, the more I Know, that I was right in thinking this pipeline is a bad idea! It's not a good plan to run pipeline along shorelines and in densely populated areas. What we need to do is replace and repair our old pipelines, not bring in more.
I definitely would not let spectra destroy the few remaining non-industrial parts of Jersey City! -----
NASA Temperature Data: 1880-2011 The comparison shows how Earth continues to experience higher temperatures than several decades ago.
The global average surface temperature in 2011 was the ninth warmest since 1880.
The finding sustains a trend that has seen the 21st century experience nine of the 10 warmest years in the modern meteorological record.
NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York released an analysis of how temperatures around the globe in 2011 compared to the average global temperature from the mid-20th century.
Rising sea levels are also a good reason not to allow spectra energy to build this pipeline on our NJ/NY coastlines. Want to know what global warming looks like? Scientists say, check recent weather. July 04 2012 by The Associated Press Justice!

We Will Not Be Free Until We End The Social Problems That Are Destroying The Lives Of People Trapped In The Ghettos Of America's Cities!
Discrimination
Discrimination is the prejudicial treatment of an individual based on their membership; or perceived membership, in a certain group or category.
It involves the actual behaviors towards groups such as excluding or restricting members of one group from opportunities that are available to another group.

Elitism is the belief or attitude that some individuals, who form an elite a "select group" of people with intellect, wealth, specialized training or experience, or other distinctive attributes.
Those considered; whose views, on a matter are to be taken the most seriously or carry the most weight; whose views and/or actions are most likely to be constructive to society as a whole; or whose extraordinary skills, abilities or wisdom render them especially fit to govern.
Alternatively, the term elitism may be used to describe a situation in which power is concentrated in the hands of a limited number of people.
Especially by appointing them to positions of authority, regardless of their qualifications. Nepotism makes the world go round!
Anti-intellectualism is hostility towards and mistrust of intellect, intellectuals, and intellectual pursuits, usually expressed as the derision of education, philosophy, literature, art, and science, as impractical and contemptible. wikipedia

Every time I read about the violence and degeneration of not only America's cities, but also what we used to call suburbs, it breaks my heart!

My beloved Asbury Park! When I remember Asbury Park from when I was a young child. From age 7, throughout, my childhood years, I used to shop on the beautiful streets of Asbury Park with my Mother and Father and run all over it's Boardwalk! Asbury Park's Boardwalk, was beautiful in the 1950's and 60's.
Asbury Park had a Beautiful Shopping Section. Right up the block from the Boardwalk. I still see that beautiful avenue lined with stores and the Boardwalk at the end; with the ocean, in my dreams!
I loved the Swan Boats on the little lake, but my Mother would never let me go on them. She always said you can drown too easy in a lake, because it's fresh water and doesn't buoy you up like the salt water does. Oddly; she never noticed when I was swimming out so far in the ocean, that I was swinging on the ropes.
This really isn't about just a few people suffering; this is about a huge number of people suffering!
There are huge populations whom are affected by the destruction of humanity all over the country unnecessarily! We all need to unite to end this horror that has become everyday life everywhere in the United States, (and all over the world too), there has to be a stop to this!

I most seriously have to ask, WHY? ie in the one arrest, they went to all the trouble of selling drugs. Hard work and dangerous too; especially, nowadays and the heroin and cocaine was only worth $3,800!
Crime Really Doesn't Pay!
$3,800 is totally chump change. The darn guns cost that much and the guns are what's gonna get these guys the big jail time! Scary guns! And they probably have no money and will have to use a Legal Aid Lawyer! These dealers are definitely their own best customers and these drugs are; really, bad!
Voice of experience here; way back in the 60's, when the drugs were real, not synthetic! When I think back on all the times i almost got killed (literally), I scare myself and wonder how I was ever so dumb!
A rhetorical question of course because I know that the government, society, with the media, etc. encouraged me (and my generation) to act the way I/we did. We had genocide back in the sixties too.
Yes, take my word for it. Drugs have been synthetic since the eighties. The heroin is not real. It's a synthetic opiate, they just still call it heroin.
The crack, is a pharmaceutical amphetamine. Rock form is so convenient for this.Pharmaceutical drugs make a person crazy! Voice of Experience Again, in the early 80's.
I read the New Jersey Newspapers every day and I know people are not this crazy! Something is making them like this!
I'll tell you the truth because I care enough to want you all to have good lives. Not running around in the dark in a slum of a ghetto, shooting each other and overdosing!
This is not fun. Fun is having as much money as rich people. No matter what anyone says, you'll never make it dealing drugs! There's no profit in drug dealing.
Don't believe the stupid movies. Believe me. At 62 I've been there, done that, seen it all! (well almost, I never dealt drugs.) Being of unsound mind at the time, I took them all myself.

I know this street. One of the few remaining blocks with un-renovated, tenement buildings and I mean slums!
Avenue C is the oldest street in Bayonne. It was the first and only street. The buildings on it were that old. The entire area has burned down since the 1960's. What didn't burn down was "renovated"! I'm not surprised, bad electric wiring. That's what happened to the entire avenue from about 18th to 26th Streets.

Newark to break groundon long-awaited Teachers Village by Sarah Portlock
The Star-Ledger February 09, 2012. I haven't researched the controversy about "charter schools". But this looks like an excellent opportunity for the City of Newark.
Back in the 1960's, I went to a public grammar school like this Excel Academy! Not so much fun, but equal curriculum. I lived in the suburbs of South NJ, a growing community. We had a brand new Junior/Senior High School!
I guess it's all about who's running the school, curriculum, etc. While emphasis should be placed on improving our cities public schools, I think in a large city like Newark, some charter schools are appropriate. (Although; I don't see the need for more than just a few, in smaller cities like Jersey City).
But definitely, not schools owned by large corporations like they want to do inDetroit.
Since 1 in 5 Charter Schools fail; handing public schools over to big business, the people who have already destroyed our economy, seems counter-productive!
Now all we have to do is get rid of the street drugs, the guns and the booze!
I know prescription drugs! Short version
I got hurt in 2000 and had the worst doctors in the world! Medicare and Medicaid are pretty much worthless!
After 3 neck and shoulder MRI's They ran up over $20,000 in Medicaid (alone) costs 15%. Medicare paid the other 85%, not included in the above total! I know; because, besides the fact I had to act as my own lawyer, social security made me pay $5,000 of the Medicaid costs, back out of a meager settlement I'd gotten.
I didn't know you had to make an immediate police report if injured. Then immediately go to, (or better, be brought to the hospital by ambulance).
Even if you don't think your injured you probably are. Injuries are hard to spot unless one is a doctor. Then one must make a police report and see a Lawyer within the hour, in fact you can make a police report right at the hospital. That's one reason why the Cop is always there.
Prescription drugs, (of any kind, tranquilizers and antidepressants, are amongst the very worst), and are totally mind numbing and very dangerous! Just because a doctor prescribes a drug doesn't mean it's safe. Unfortunately, some people have to take prescription drugs. But I wouldn't, forget recreationally. I wouldn't take any of that over the counter stuff either!
I definitely wouldn't mix any of them with alcohol or other drugs without expecting disaster! I'm 62 and I've been around. I had the best shrink in New York City (for over a year). Hi Jack
Back to 2000
One codeine I finally got the third dr. to prescribe made me so edgy a baby crying ten aisles away in a grocery store made me crazy!
The first dr gave me the opiate mixed with over the counter medicine, didn't touch the pain of a torn rotators cuff and whiplash! These are the most common on the street. And you know some will drink with them.
The second dr; almost a year later, gave me vicadan, (another toxic one), drink with it and lose your liver, probably be in a stupor too!
I told this butcher dr. I had an allergic reaction, My skin turned bright red and I had a burning feeling. I was still very red when I saw the dr a day or two later, I told him about my bad reaction, andhe told me, "take tylenol". I said I'm allergic to Tylenol and he said, "then take nothing". This was the Orthopedic dr who did my MRI's! He refused to give me anything and I had no medication at all for almost a year!
The third dr almost killed me with the Duragesic Patch mixed with ibuprofen I think. (It was only 25mg. the next to weakest one too). I was very sick and my sadist dr. kept telling me I was crazy!
I heard people out there are shooting fentanly! This is an illustration of that they have no idea what they're doing! NEVER CUT A FENTANYL PAIN PATCH, the dose becomes totally unstable. It will leach out into the skin and your clothing. It remains active to various degrees. I know prescription drugs! 3 doctors, 4 years of prescription drug hell! So I know what happens when they fall into young inexperienced hands!

The 12:17 a.m. incident began at Ocean and Winfield Avenues. Late night shooting in Jersey City leaves 21-year-old dead, officials say You Gotta Be Trying To Kid Me!
A 21-year-old Jersey City man was found lying on the sidewalk dead of an apparent gunshot wound after police responded to a report of a shooting near Ocean and Pearsall Avenues, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio.
What's going on! You Guys know better than to live like this. I know where these streets are. I used to wait on Ocean Ave. to get the bus to the Mall. I felt that safe there 5 years ago! Yeah I knew there was some violence but from what I've been reading here in the Jersey Journal, you are all killing yourselves and each other. I don't know you personally, but I probably went to school with your Grandmothers!
And if you're reading this, you know that everything I say about my life in Bayonne is all true and that I am giving you all the best advice anyone ever gave you!Go to Bayonne, ask about Georgia! Watch eyes roll. You don't even need a last name, they'll know who you mean!
Stop the violence now! Bad drugs, fools, you get mad at somebody and shoot them, but you don't get mad at the garbage drugs out there on the street, and continue to buy and take them like sheep, and you also go for buying those cheap second hand, go off in a second guns!
Let me think, If I Can Remember, Oh yeah, guns, bad drugs, alcohol, being 21 and uneducated = A Lethal Combination! Stop and think about what I'm saying. I know, I was 21 too, a long time ago, before the mind control!

I often use music in my blog, because music is universal. It says what I would like to say, although these great talents say it much more eloquently than I could.
I Love good people. I've met all kinds and I think that people are all the same. There are good ones and not so good ones, etc. But, the good ones far outnumber the bad ones.
