On June 08 2012, a state commission approved spectra energy’s proposal to run a section of the Houston energy giant’s controversial natural gas pipeline below ground in Liberty State Park in Jersey City. The Texas Eastern natural gas pipeline from Linden to New York City, including a 15.5-mile stretch of 30-inch pipe that would travel the length of Bayonne and Jersey City before turning east near the Hoboken border and heading under the Hudson River, to Manhattan's West Village.
Three important reasons to deny spectra's proposal:
1 The obvious reason, that the entire areas are way too densely populated.
2 New Jersey/New York Harbor; (where spectra wants to cross), is totally filled with Federally protected Historical Sites. Many of which, are very close to a National Monument, Our Statue Of Liberty!
3 The construction of spectra's gas pipeline would destroy the shoreline and natural environment; habitat, of New Jersey/New York Harbor's fish, marine life, birds and other animal populations for many generations, if not forever!
The entire New Jersey/New York Harbor from Liberty State Park's shore, across to Manhattan's West Village, (besides being filled with historical sites)is a fish estuary. Common species include bluefish, shad, striped bass and blue claw crabs.
NJ/NY harbor is Part of an Department of Environmental Protection's Program that consists of, an enormous watershed encompassing a much larger area.
In 2011, HEP updated its geographic footprint to include the Hudson River watershed up to the Troy Dam, as well as the watersheds of the Raritan, Passaic, Hackensack Rivers in New Jersey. This watershed approach is much more in keeping with the way other major estuaries are managed.
Also; the Richard J. Sullivan Natural Area of the Park; including Communipaw Cove, (36 acres), is a Nature Preserve and consists mainly of salt marsh, one of the few remaining tidal marshes of the Hudson River Estuary.
Please continue to read this post, for many more reasons why spectra's proposal was never a well thought out plan.
This is not an ordinary distribution, gas pipeline; the kind used in order to bring natural gas to homes, businesses and industries. This is; a long-haul, transportation pipeline!
As a transportation type pipeline; this means that, it will always have gas going through it, constantly, not, use a little pump a little more in like with domestic pipelines.
And the state, wants to allow spectra to run this pipeline through the streets of Jersey City!

spectra cannot build their pipeline through Jersey City's neighborhoods.
An alternative route that spectra can use; is, when the Bayonne part of their pipeline reaches the City Line on Kennedy Blvd, it then needs to go around the back of Jersey City's Route 440, along its west side waterway Newark Bay.
Then, go north about 5 miles along the shore, following the water line in Newark Bay. And Then cross over from there or from Hoboken, to New York City. I would need maps to say where. I'm not an engineer. They get the big bucks to figure this kind of stuff out. Although; crossing over from this part of Jersey City or even as far as Hoboken, would still bring the pipeline to lower Manhattan, (Canal Street) and create the same environmental damage concerns.

I don't want it either. Especially in Lower New York/New Jersey Harbor or going through any of our towns and cities. I just put the pieces together here, to help my friends out. They always helped me a lot in my life!
These are, very populated areas and coincidentally, the proposed pipeline runs through many of the poorer sections of Jersey City.
Could this plan be any more stupid? Either the planning engineer is crazy or spectra's swindling New Jersey big time! Even I can figure this out.

The drugs of choice are prescription painkillers, crack, heroin, booze (alcohol), etc, or any drug the dealer has! These drugs are toxic enough alone. Mixed with alcohol they are a lethal combination!This is why 20 year old kids are shooting each other over a piece of turf in the ghetto instead of getting financial aid and scholarships and partying at a good college.
An especially good trick used; among the poor, is to convince them that a little bit of life is good. But you know what, a whole lot of life, is way better!
Don't show them the bigger picture of how not being a fool gets you the big bucks in about 8 years. FREE COLLEGE=GOOD JOB=BIG BUCKS! EDUCATION Is So Important To Getting The BEST OUT OF Life! If you are uneducated you cannot tap into the minds of great thinkers. You have less strategies to fight your way up with. Then, there's the brainwashing and mind control to take you out with if you are still making it without an education.
Don't believe everything all the celebrities tell you. They really screwed my generation around in the sixties. Glorifying Drugs and sex (another trap), while at the same time getting rich themselves. "Tune in, Turn on, Drop out." How ridiculous was a statement like that? But it sounded good at the time. (If you get a professor like Timothy Leary in college, drop his class immediately)! Nowadays College Is Free. It's called FederalFinancial Aid and anyone who doesn't have a lot of money is eligible to get it. Also Scholarships are really easy to get. All you have to do is get half way decent marks in High School. Stay home at night, do some homework. Nobody has to be a genius to get into college nowadays.

Drugs are so extremely expensive that many people do have to turn to crime in order to support their habits. It's very sad how many beautiful young people are sitting in a jail cell because of drugs! Please Don't Take Drugs Or Drink Alcohol, They Can Kill You The Very First Time You Try Them! Alcohol (liquor, booze) will make you crazy and lose control. Drinking will definitely enhance your chances of being victimized. You won't even know what you're doing! I'm not just saying this. IT'S TRUE. Drugs and alcohol keep you from thinking clearly! Bob Marley says "Them drugs gonna make you slow". FOR REAL!
They'll Keep you back in your best years. When you're young, strong and most productive! Keep you from catching up, if they don't eliminate you outright. Drugs will distract you from getting the most out of life. The drugs on the street nowadays are, BAD. Being synthetic they make a person crazy, crazy, crazy! They also kill you quicker. Much stronger, than natural drugs. Don't believe the story that you can use drugs on a recreational basis. This has been a lie forever! Addiction isn't pretty. And it's not fun.
With opiates you just go to sleep. Hopefully not permanently!
With cocaine you just speed up. What's so much fun?
With LSD just makes you schizophrenic! What's fun about that?
Prescription drugs destroy the body and mind faster even, than the street drugs. If they contain acetaminophen and you drink alcohol with them they can burn your liver up, right on the spot! ONE TIME, No fun here!
