The purpose of the Development, Relief and Education of Alien Minors Act, also called the DREAM Act, is to help those individuals who meet certain requirements, have an opportunity to enlist in the military or go to college and have a path to citizenship which they otherwise would not have without this legislation. Supporters of the DREAM Act believe it is vital not only to the people who would benefit from it, but also the United States as a whole. It would give an opportunity to undocumented immigrant students who have been living in the U.S. since they were young, a chance to contribute back to the country that has given so much to them and a chance to utilize their hard earned education and talents.

REQUISITES
* Must have entered the United States before the age of 16 (i.e. 15 and younger)
* Must have been present in the United States for at least five (5) consecutive years prior to enactment of the bill
* Must have graduated from a United States high school, or have obtained a GED, or have been accepted into an institution of higher education (i.e. college/university)

One could almost say that APSJ works with clients one shovel – or one fresh chicken, or one pair of eyeglasses – at a time. Founded in 1975 Our Adopt a Bubbe (or Zayde) program reaches out to elderly Jews and the handicapped in Ukraine and Belarus.

APSJ now aids some of the most vulnerable and impoverished citizens whole Jewish communities, the elderly, the handicapped, et al.
Medicine for a pressing illness, a hearing aid, new socks, etc, coal for the winter, repair of a broken refrigerator, new boots or a shovel for gardening When a gift of sugar enabled some villagers outside the city of Dnipropetrovsk to make preserves, they donated a portion for distribution to indigent pensioners in the city. They understood only too well the meaning of simple gifts.

I remember the 1964 World's Fair.
The theme was Peace through understanding. Immediately the Vietnam War broke out!

Although I wanna be the person, who goes over the hill first, screaming Stop!
We can't let bad people kill the world!
There will be a peaceful solution. Maybe not today.

How dumb are these world leaders?
It is now the year 2009.
The political world leaders have no more excuses of, we didn't know any better.

I seriously suggest, (for the sake of their own prosperity) That all the nations of the world think about human rights, Everywhere.

In Iran, In Africa, In Palestine and Israel, in China, Russia, Britain and America too. And all the other places in the world I'm not politically savvy enough to be able to name.

These countries have to make up their minds that Peace is the Only answer.

It is really time the whole world wakes up and realizes that peace is the solution.
It is the only road to prosperity.
Maybe with a little encouragement things may change. They may still hate us, or not.
My advice is "forget who you hate, do what's best for you". Don't let emotions cloud your better judgment!

Only time and diplomatic intercession will tell if the Promise of Peace will be kept.
The U.N., is where all these countries should settle their difficulties.
I know that the civilized way to discuss grievances is in the Boardroom, not in a street brawl.

There's Revolution in the air Just like in the Sixties.
President Obama said that every American's voice is important and that we should speak out on important issues. He said that together we can change the world! Sounds good to me Pres. You're the best!

I keep hearing that Iran is evil. So, why was the the Shah considered to be ok? The Shah was a dictator! He treated his people horribly and it was covered up!
I think that many countries the US government are friendly with might be considered evil, so Iran is different because, they have oil?

Ok, they've been accused of harboring and arming Al Qaeda. But the US has also been accused of supporting Al Qaeda during the Afghan war with Russia. Then Al Qaeda turned on us.
We should be finding Al Qaeda not wasting our resources chasing shadows! How come we never hear anything about the US progress in finding Al Qaeda? Come on, they can't be that slippery!
President Teddy Roosevelt said "Talk Softly and carry a big stick"!
America doesn't need to attack Iran. America's main priority should be to get Iraq stabilized and bring our troops home now!



The world needs to consider that Peace is the only alternative. Really war helps no one. Sure it shows the other guy we're tougher than they are. But what price is the world willing to pay for peace? "An eye for an eye until everyone is blind"!

All the countries of the world know that America has the capacity to defeat a large war machine like that of Nazi Germany. None of them could!
So really their tough talk is just a lot of posturing!

Terrorists, attacked America and although some countries in the Middle East have been accused of supporting terrorist activities, I think that it is more like,a group of international terrorists who are loyal to AN IDEOLOGY OF HATE, rather than any particular country.

Afghanistan chased the Taliban out, because they wouldn't let them grow their poppies. Al Qaeda did train all over the area because they were not wanted anywhere either.

Just because the Arab people's language and culture is very different than ours, doesn't mean that they cannot be rational thinkers.
We have crazy Americans too.

What the world forgets is that America saved them all from the Nazi's.

America doesn't have to put missiles in Eastern Europe to protect us from Russia. Remember the Bay of Pigs? We didn't like it!

Although, Russia is progressing slowly in terms of becoming socially in tune with the rest of the world, they are progressing.
There's a lot of American big business in Russia nowadays, McDonald's, Coca Cola, jeans, anything we've got in America.
Since they took down the Berlin wall, Russia's relations with the west have been a lot less chilly. Until recently.

We should all try to get along with other countries, instead of just wanting to always fight them.

When I see stuff like this on the news I wonder what the heck is happening out there.

I Think Iran's problem is, that they don't want any more interference in the running of their government by outside countries.

Just because this government doesn't want any partners doesn't necessarily, make them evil.

You think that they don't understand the concept of offense is the best defense, just because their alphabet looks funny?

The days of the West dictating the policy of other countries, has gone the way of the British Empire.
Of course Iran has to realize that the world will not allow them to possess nuclear weapons. Those that don't have the bomb aren't going to get it. It's too dangerous for everyone to have.

I think Iran's play for nuclear power is a threat. They want the West to stop trying to dictate their internal politics. They are far from being a democracy, but need to evolve at their own pace.

I know Al Qaeda can be found, but not in Iran either.

The leaders of all the countries in the world really have to get on the ball and decide that Peace and Human Rights are the Only Solution!*

Nuclear energy is no good either. Remember Chernobyl? In the end all you will have is a country polluted with nuclear power plants and nuclear waste. No one will have to drop a bomb. You could be an accident just waiting to happen.

In your climate, solar energy is definitely the way to go. It is so cheap and clean. Protect yourselves. Don't go off half informed. Just because a lot of countries have nuclear weapons doesn't make it right! Don't believe the con, that the bomb will make you powerful. It won't.

If the bomb goes off, nobody will be left to be the winner!

Mankind hasn't changed in thousands of years. Still No Room At The Inn!

I've always heard it's bad manners to invite someone somewhere at the last minute, Although I Don't Think Our Heroes, The First Responders Will Refuse. Even At This Late Date.

I Suggest All Our First Responders Be Invited Immediately!

NYC Fireman saved my live twice when I lived in NYC! Way back in the 1970's, when I was young, not dumb just stupid.

In a tenement slum. The fire was on the third floor, we were on the fifth. They ran past us coming down at the third floor. And that's exactly what they said "Hurry Up, Hurry Up; Get Out, Get Out, The Whole Thing Could Go"! And that tinder box 125 yr old (at least), building sure could have!

The world will say to themselves; oh boy have we got a bunch of suckers to fleece! This is what the world will see! Because every culture honors its Heroes! Duh!
